Acquisition of a Confocal microscope to BRIC.
Microscopic analysis of biological material with laser scanning techniques in order to create images from the analysed material with a resolution of down to 200 nm.
Microscopic analysis of biological material with laser scanning techniques in order to create images from the analysed material with a resolution of down to 200 nm.
Section IV: Procedure
- The works, supplies or services can be provided only by a particular economic operator for the following reason:
- absence of competition for technical reasons
According to the Directive 2004/18/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council, Article 32. 2, point b, the University of Copenhagen believes that a tunable laser with 1 nm steps ranging from 470-670 nm able to excite up to 5 laser lines simultaneously is necessary.
The system must be able to simultaneously visualize reflection and fluorescence in 2 independent channels.
There system must have a filter-free spectral detection system to separate different dye emissions coming from the samples simultaneously.
SP8 WLL confocal module with AOBS and AOBM is a patented true confocal point scanning system, thus no other suppliers can deliver such solution.
In order to simultaneously separate light emitted from fluorescent proteins with a large degree of overlapping excitation and emission spectrum a microscope with a tunable laser down to 1 nm and filter-free spectral detection system is needed. To make this type of analysis possible a new confocal microscope is needed to support the research performed at BRIC.
