Section II: Object
Acquisition of an Echo 550_Liquid Handler to.
The instrument is a Liquid Handler for contact free sample and reagent transfer using focused sound energy technology. This sound driven liquid handler is superior to standard Liquid handlers using tips. It is much more precise and saves instrument supply costs (no pipetting tips). Main features of the instrument are Dynamic Fluid analysis in real time, no calibration between assays needed, DMSO hydration functionality, contains HV grid ensuring correct drop delivery. The instrument will be integrated into a Hamilton robot station (Core facility) and will be used for set up of high throughput assays of cellular and biochemical type. Especially cellular screening assays can be performed under better standardized and controlled conditions, saving material and working time.

Section IV: Procedure
- The procurement falls outside the scope of application of the directive
Instrument shall be integrated in a Hamilton Robot station (Core facility) and Hamilton offers an instrument driver for Echo 550; Labcyte offers best technical support service.
Labcyte owns all patents — no experimental restrictions for user.
Equipment is needed for set-up and running of high throughput screening assays of biochemical and cellular type. It has a wide application spectrum: compound handling and screening, cellular assays, genomics and proteomics; system is cost saving, time efficient, user friendly operating and precise.
