Ispringen (Germany), June 19, 2013 – BYD presents the new IPM (Intelligent Power Modules) with high performance in a compact housing. They combine optimized circuit protection and drive matched to low-loss IGBT. They target low-power inverter-driven applications like air conditioner and washing machine. The modules are available at distributor Rutronik as of now.

Thanks to the integrated under-voltage lock-out, single BOOST PFC circuit and over-current protection, the system reliability is further enhanced. Furthermore, each phase current of inverter can be monitored separately. By using DBC, the modules have a very low thermal resistance. They come with a three-phase IGBT inverter bridge including control ICs for gate driving and protection and with an isolation rating of 2500Vrms/min.
