Section II: Object
Acquisition of an iQue3 screener Plus to the HTTH Lab/BRIC
The High Throughput Translational Hematology Lab (HTTH) utilizes high throughput flow cytometry to screen various cancer drugs on hematological cancer patient samples.
The High Throughput Translational Hematology Lab (HTTH) utilizes high throughput flow cytometry to screen various cancer drugs on hematological cancer patient samples. The iQue technology allows for essential throughput and time and material savings that traditional flow cytometry instruments cannot achieve. A previous version of the iQue Screener is already established and integrated in the automation system. To increase capacity, we would like to purchase an additional iQue3 Screener Plus.
Section IV: Procedure
- The works, supplies or services can be provided only by a particular economic operator for the following reason:
- protection of exclusive rights, including intellectual property rights
The instrument performs high throughput suspension screening using a flow cytometry based detector and produces multi-parameter, individual cell and bead measurements. The patented and proprietary technology of ‘air-gap-delimited’ sample separation allows for rapid low-volume measurements enabling multiplexed high throughput screening of samples in 96 and 384 well format. This technology is essential for high throughput analysis of primary cell material where the available numbers of cells is always a limiting factor. Other flow cytometry instruments are likely to require 10 times or more cells per analyzed test condition as well as taking much longer time to do the analysis and are therefore not feasible to use for the intended application. The platform uses ForeCyt® software, the only acquisition and analysis software that provides a suite of sophisticated high throughput plate level analytics.
The HTTH Lab produces high-throughput screening data in an automated matter, where the old iQue has become a bottleneck in terms of capacity. Therefore we would like to expand by an additional HT flow cytometer. Since data compatibility and reproducibility is critical for our research, we would like to continue with a compatible system and same data analysis software.
— The patent for the original sampling method (Airgap) is U.S. Patents Nos 6878556, 6890487;
— These are the original patents that are from 2005.
