Forensic Chemistry Department, Department of Forensic Medicine, Faculty of Health Sciences, University of Copenhagen is an analysis laboratory that performs forensic chemical analysis tasks as part of the processing of forensic medical cases. Mass spectrometry-based analysis methods are predominantly used. The department has GC, GC-MS, LC-MS / MS and HRLCMS equipment (time-of-flight and orbitrap equipment). There are barely 40 employees.

The works, supplies or services can be provided only by a particular economic operator for the following reason:

Explanation:

The reason for choosing a Waters I-Class plus UPLC and Waters Xevo G2-XS QTOF MS is the Waters UNIFI Scientific Information System. UNIFI the first software platform to merge LC and high performance MS data (both quadrupole and time-of-flight) into a single solution that encompasses data acquisition, processing, visualization, reporting, and configurable compliance tools within a networked laboratory environment.

The Section of Forensic Chemistry has been using UNIFI since 2014 and has spent years optimizing the system for their analysis. The Section of Forensic Chemistry is currently using the UNIFI Server Solution that controls two UHPLC-QTOF-MS systems (Waters I-Class UPLC and Waters Xevo G2-X QTOF MS) and enables 15 users perform data processing from their own desktop.

The Section of Forensic Chemistry has developed systems for connecting UNIFI to their overall laboratory information managing system (StarLims) and easy access to UPLC-QTOF-MS data collected since 2014. A fast datamining (retrospective screeing) system for UNIFIs MSE data has also been developed.

The Waters UNIFI Scientific Information System is not able to control third party HR-MS instruments or processes their data.
