Gigatome Polycut Legacy Heavy Duty Sledge Microtome
In order to produce thin sections of big (up to (L x W x H) 250 x 200 x 70 mm.) undecalcified hard tissue blocks, imbedded in plastic, this polycot Legacy microtome is required.
Aarhus
In order to produce thin sections of plastic imbedded, undecalcified hard tissue blocks as big as we need, we need a microtome that is heavier and more stable than the more “common” microtomes for paraffin sectioning. The polycot Legacy is designed to make big, undecalcified, hard tissue sections of plastic imbedded material, and is the only microtome on the marked that can do this. It can make sections with thickness range 1-1000µm, and can cut specimens up to (L x W x H) 250 x200 x 70 mm., which we need in our research, and which no other microtome we have seen on the marked can do.
Section IV: Procedure
- The works, supplies or services can be provided only by a particular economic operator for the following reason:
- absence of competition for technical reasons
We have an old similar microtome, that is worn out, and where spare parts is no longer available. The Gigatome Polycut Legacy Heavy Duty Sledge Microtome is a replacement for this microtome, and is a vital part of our histological research. Gigatome is building the Polycut Legacy themselves, they have many years of experience in building this sort of microtomes, and are the only company that can provide us with this unique microtome.
