Acquisition of SP100 Automation Instrument plus accessories
Proteomics Research Infrastructure (PRI) is a state of-the-art mass spectrometry (MS)-based proteomics facility. Founded on 1 July 2020, the new facility provides coordinated, proprietary client access to forerunner proteomic technology, exceptional technical assistance, and streamlined bioinformatic data analysis for the local research community. PRI is funded by the Novo Nordisk Foundation (NNF) and linked to the NNF Center for Protein Research at the University of Copenhagen.
The SP100 is part of Seer’s Proteograph Product Suite - an integrated solution consisting of consumables that include Seer’s proprietary engineered nanoparticle panels, an automation instrument (the SP100), and software to perform unbiased, deep proteomic analysis at scale in a matter of hours. PRI would like to offer this kind of analysis to its broad user base and therefore aims to purchase the SP100 instrument.

There is no commercial product available that compares to the Proteograph Product Suite enabling researchers to assess the complexity of the proteome deeply, broadly, rapidly, and at scale across thousands of samples. The Proteograph Product Suite enables access to the proteome in ways that will allow researchers to undertake the scale of studies needed to understand more fully the complexity of the proteome. The SP100 instrument has a unique ability for high throughput, deep profiling of model organisms using TMT workflows as well as the power of the platform for detecting low abundant biomarkers in human CSF and urine samples.
