Acquisition of a BioAssemblyBot® 400 Series 3D Bio-printer
The Novo Nordisk Foundation Center Stem Cell Medicine is housed within the University of Copenhagen. The Center was launched 1st of January 2022 by funding through the Novo Nordiks Foundation and will drive translational research within the field of Stem Cell Medicine. The center operates Nodes in three different countries, but this transparency note is specific and restricted to the Node residing at the University of Copenhagen, Denmark.
We are planning to buy a BioAssemblyBot® 400 Series 3D Bio-printer from the company Advanced Solutions. The instrument will be used in research involving bioprinting of cell culture derived cells to rebuild 3D proto-organ material and will advance translational research within the center.

- protection of exclusive rights, including intellectual property rights
The two key and unique assets of the BioAssemblyBot 400 are 1) a mechanical action small reservoir deposition capacity in combination with 2) utilizing a 6-axis robot to enable advanced tissue biofabrication, including 3D bioprinting. The entire BAB400 setup is then further enabled by a head unit with up to 8 different available tools which can be employed in a single fabrication run, thereby promoting complex tissue assembly and task execution. Such a system is solely available from Advanced Solutions Life Sciences.
Additionally, some of these capabilities were developed in house at Advance Solutions Life Sciences according to the specification of the purchasing institution.
