Section II: Object
GeoMX and CosMX
Purchase of a combination of GeoMx and CosMx.
1)
GeoMx, as we have the following requirements:
Should allow the investigation of more than 18,000 RNA in selected RIO within FFPE sections, when combined with downstream high-throughput sequencing of eluted probe tags from RIO.One should be able to select a RIO of any shape, and be able to identify the RIO using fluorescencemarkers.
CosMx, as we have the following requirements:
Be able to quantify up to 100 proteins and 1,000 RNA in a single experiment Be compatible with FFPE and FF tissue sections Provide a complete end-to-end solution; including acquisition, analysis, and visualization Provide cloud storage and processing for data and analysis Require no reverse transcription, amplification, or enzyme for analytic detection Require no tissue cleaning or gel embedding for sample preparation Provide the option of 2 different size scan areas, including 16mm2 and 100mm2 Be able to perform measurements of individual RNA and provide a digital output
2)
The ability to perform the procedures on FFPE sections, with an end-to-end solution and sufficient multiplexing is critical for our choice of GeoMx and CosMx combined.
3)
To our knowledge no one can at the present time offer this unique combination of spatial molecular analysis provided by the combination of GeoMx and CosMx. Other suppliers are upcoming, but they at the present time don't provide the same combination of products and similar end-to-end solution.
Section IV: Procedure
- The procurement falls outside the scope of application of the directive
Public Procurement Act Section 80, litra 3 and 4 - Only one supplier: GeoMX and CosMX can only be supplied by NanoString because it is the only known commercial supplier of a system with similar specifications. There is an objective and proportionate reason for the establishment of specifications which result in there being only one supplier. The possibility that there are other potential suppliers who could deliver the same has been objectively excluded by market consultations.
