Acquisition of a Qinu Sionludi L
The Niels Bohr Institute is part of the Faculty of SCIENCE at the University of Copenhagen. The Niels Bohr Institute has a 100 year long tradition of excellence within science, in particular within the area of quantum physics. The institute was inaugurated on March 3, 1921, by Professor Niels Bohr. We are approx. 430 researchers, 70 administrative and technical staff, 100 PhD students and 400 students. The European Physical Society has declared the Niels Bohr Institute a Historic Site of great international importance for the development of physics and research.
The Qinu cryostat will be a central part of the Niels Bohr Quantum Science Lab for a Quantum Ready Generation, financed by the Novo Nordisk Foundation. The cryostat will make it possible to develop several quantum experiences. These low temperature quantum science experiments, ranging from experiments with single electron spins to super conductivity. The unique combination of low temperature, fast cooling and manual operation makes the Qinu cryostat ideal for the Niels Bohr Quantum Science Lab.
Section IV: Procedure
- The works, supplies or services can be provided only by a particular economic operator for the following reason:
- absence of competition for technical reasons
The Qinu device reaches 30 mK in a small-footprint table-top cryostat with high-bandwidth control channels and ultra-fast cool-down time (<2 hours) suitable for half-day outreach activities involving control of different types of solid-state qubits. These properties are essential for the Niels Bohr Quantum Science laboratory for a Quantum Ready Generation.
