II.1.4) Short description:

We would like to purchase ECO2 FluX chambers to use in determinating greenhouse gas fluxes (GHG) from different ecosystems with high temporal resolution. This specific chamber is necessary for accurate quantification of GHG fluxes from ecosystems to support or modify currently used national GHG emissions factors for agricultural peatland. In addition, these chambers will allow better investigation of processes leading to the measured net ecosystem exchange of CO2, N2O and methane.

II.1.6) Information about lots
This contract is divided into lots: no
II.1.7) Total value of the procurement (excluding VAT)
Value excluding VAT: 1 198 987.00 DKK
II.2) Description

38000000 Laboratory, optical and precision equipments (excl. glasses)
II.2.3) Place of performance
NUTS code: DK042 Østjylland
II.2.4) Description of the procurement:

Features where the ECO2 FluX chambers differs from other flux chambers on the marked:

• The unique principle that the chamber closes from the ground upwards means that there is no need for elevated bases to measure tall vegetation. The base consists of a metal collar that closes to the ground surface. When the flux chamber is in the open state, the height of the base is only approximately 15 cm. As standard, the chamber can measure in natural as well as cultivated ecosystems with vegetation heights of 80 cm - this can be extended to measure at heights up to 110 cm.

• The construction of the chamber means that an "open chamber" effect is NOT created with changes in the microclimate inside the chamber as a result.

• Another important feature is that ECO2 FluX offers "2 chambers in one" since it can be transparent as well as darkened simultaneously. It means that with the same unit for measurements of NEE, Ecosystem Respiration (ER) and Gross Ecosystem Photosynthesis (GEP) directly and simultaneously. The "2 chambers in one" construction also means that the measurements take place in exactly the same plot.
