IGN carries out teaching and research within a wide range of natural science subjects relating to geography, geology and forestry. One of the main topics is terrestrial ecosystem analyzes both in tropical, Danish and arctic regions. A core area is the analysis of light, stable isotopes in soil, plants and air, for which the new equipment will be used.

Explanation:

The supplier has developed a specific application where the content of isotopes in aqueous solutions from e.g. soil and surface water is analysed. This method is described in a scientific article by Rampazzo et al., 2022. "New method for simultaneous determination of dissolved organic carbon and its stable carbon isotope ratio in liquid samples: environmental applications" doi: 10.1080/10256016.2022.2047040. This application is currently offered not by other suppliers.
