Novo Nordisk Foundation Center for Basic Metabolic Research (CBMR) was established in 2010 at the Faculty of Health and Medical Sciences, University of Copenhagen.

The vision is to strengthen interdisciplinary research that transforms the basic understanding of the mechanisms involved in metabolic health and disease, and to accelerate this knowledge toward new prevention and treatment strategies.

This upgrade will have an important improvement on our analyses.

Negotiated procedure without prior publication

The works, supplies or services can be provided only by a particular economic operator for the following reason:
- absence of competition for technical reasons
Additional deliveries by the original supplier ordered under the strict conditions stated in the directive

Explanation:

In terms of software controlling, it is crucial for us that the new UPLC-system is from the same vendor (Waters) as the MS-instrument. The MS system from Waters can not control any other vendors biocompatible UPLC system.

The ACQUITY Premier Biocompatible UPLC-system can be integrated directly into the existing MS-system. Which is very important due to many methods have been developed and a change in type of UPLC-system will demand revalidation of methods etc,.

The software controlling the MS system can not control any other vendors biocompatible UPLC-systems. Furthermore it is very important for us to ensure internal comparability, data reproducibility etc.
