Novo Nordisk Foundation Center for Basic Metabolic Research (CBMR) was established in 2010 at the Faculty of Health and Medical Sciences, University of Copenhagen.

The vision is to strengthen interdisciplinary research that transforms the basic understanding of the mechanisms involved in metabolic health and disease, and to accelerate this knowledge toward new prevention and treatment strategies.

The purchase of a MA900 Cell Sorter (quote) is an upgrade of the existing Cell Sorter equipment from Sony. The new will replace an old Sony SH800 and this upgrade will be a critical improvement in our sorting and workflows.

The works, supplies or services can be provided only by a particular economic operator for the following reason:
- protection of exclusive rights, including intellectual property rights
Additional deliveries by the original supplier ordered under the strict conditions stated in the directive

Explanation:

The MA900 has a patented micro fluidic chip-based design, which ensures a high degree of automation and simplifies the workflow.

By upgrading the cell sorter from the same vendor, we also ensure internal comparability, data reproducibility etc.

The new instrument must be identical to ensure internal comparability, and data reproducibility etc. In addition, there is an economic advantage in having the same type of equipment as existing protocols and procedures can be used and no further optimization is needed.
