Audio/Video distribution system.
The Danish Defence Acquisition and Logistics Organization (DALO) is currently in the planning stage regarding procurement of audio/video distribution systems for small dismounted units and is therefore looking for information about the possibilities within this market. As part of a market survey DALO would like to invite contractors to a technical dialogue. DALO has therefore prepared a Request for Information (RFI) questionnaire where potential contractors are asked to give their opinion on commercial and technical matters. It should be stressed that this notice is not a call for tenders and participation in the dialogue will not be required for prequalification in a potential later tender procedure.
By an audio/video distribution system, DALO understands a system with the ability to distribute video streams and audio from several types of sensors (cameras and microphones) at the same time (e.g go pro, sensors as unmanned ground vehicles and unmanned aerial vehicles).
DALO currently envisions some of the following characteristics of the product:
The system should be able to distribute audio and video in real time to several members of small units. It should be able to handle several sensor systems, e.g. microphones and cameras each with a transmitter at the same time. The users who receive the audio and video streams will be dismounted operators from small units and the system may not require additional radio equipment and should be as light as possible. The system should be a stand-alone system and should work without support from existing communication systems. The distribution system is used within the dismounted units operational area and need to have a range up to 50 m. To have full flexibility it should be possible to use standard displays.
Please note that aside from the RFI mentioned above, no further information regarding the procurement is available. DALO is conducting the market survey via Mercell (http://permalink.mercell.com/60015046.aspx). For futher information regarding the procedure, please see section VI.3. It should be stressed that replies provided in the questionnaire will not in any way be part of any later assessment.

If you are not a licensee of Mercell Denmark A/S, fill out a registration of your company. The registration is free of charge.
DALO would strongly encourage potential contractors to obtain the RFI questionnaire via Mercell, and return it in filled out form — in English or Danish no later than the 15.8.2016.
Questions to the procedure can be submitted via the communication ‘tab’ in Mercell.
DALO does currently not plan to arrange subsequent technical dialogue meetings with participants but does reserve the right to do so if further insight into the information obtained from the RFI questionnaire is deemed desirable. In this case, DALO reserves the right only to invite a limited number of participants.
