| Opgavebeskrivelse | DTU is planning to purchase an organ-on-a-chip system from Emulate Inc., which is a ready-to-use system that supports cell line culture, and gut microbiome bacterial communities, with possibilities of adjustments for other organs and sampling and various incubation conditions. Reasons for the Direct Award: The organ-on-a-chip system from Emulate Inc. provides a unique opportunity to study dynamics (between host – microbiomes and their functions) in live complex communities without the need to run experiments in live animals like mice and cows. Emulate Inc. provides ready-to-use end to end system for organ on a chip which also fits microbiome research. It is ready-to-use with abilities to manipulate environmental conditions and different cell lines and bacterial communities, and no other suppliers can provide such system. |
