Justification for direct award :  The contract can be provided only by a particular economic operator because of an absence of competition for technical reasons
Other justification :  The aim of this project is to upgrade and expansion the existing RTDS Simulator equipment at Aalborg University. Aalborg University has made an adequate market research also including the special technical insight that the university has in this area. The conclusion is that RTDS Technologies Inc. is the exclusive developer and supplier of the Real Time Digital Simulator and they are the only possible supplier of the components and services required to install, commission, maintain and upgrade the RTDS Simulator hardware and software. The agreement will be concluded after holding a standstill period of 10 calendar days, according to the Danish Legislative Decree 2016-06-02 no. 593 about the Complaints Board for Tenders.
