Title Laboratory equipment for clinical LC-MS
Description Aalborg University wants to purchase and extend LC-MS equipment and data processing for clinical immunoproteomics and profiling of post-translational modifications. The LC-MS package consists of thee integrated and fully software compatible parts enabling an unique LC-MS and data processing workflow. The Sciex 8600 is an electrospray ionization trapping tandem mass spectrometer (ESI Zenotrap MS/MS) with unique capabilities, including unique, high-sensitivity zenotrapping isolation device in combination with hybrid quadrupole-time-of-flight (QTOF) mass analyzer. The tandem sequencing capabilities will allows for detection of low-input og biomolecular samples including high efficiency sequencing peptides, metabolites, lipids and intact post-translational modifications. The Evosep LC system is a clinical designed liquid chromatograph designed with disposable tips and unique combination of low pressure and high pressure gradient forming systems enabling from 30 to 500 samples per day optimized for clinical workflows currently in use at AAU. The BSI PEAKS studio software enables processing of and representation of all scan modes including ztDIA and are used in the current quantitative workflows at AAU. Based on a completed market analysis, Aalborg University assesses that, due to the technical reasons mentioned above, only one supplier can meet the total delivery. For those technical reasons, the contract will awarded without prior publication of a tender announcement in accordance with the section §80(3)(2) of the Danish Public Procurement Act. The contract will not be concluded until after expiry of standstill period of 10 calendar days, calculated from the day on which the Direct award preannouncement is Published.
