The contract is regarding purchase of professional services within Application Development Services for The Elixir Cloud.

The Elixir Cloud is a unique cloud offering focusing on life sciences. Its aim is to provide users with on-demand complex HPC environments entailing computing power, secure storage, domain software and curated datasets tailored specifically to handle the most demanding bioinformatics workflows. Led by the DTU Informatics, one of the leading bioinformatics institutes in world, the initiative is to create a complete ecosystem connecting its members with means, expertise and network to innovate faster and provide production grade services to its customers.

Delivered as a web-application, our cloud offering enables its users to manage their own private cloud deployments. Within this capacity, clients will be able to deploy single instances or whole computing environments including their data, networking and software. Moreover, users will be able to extend their environments by selecting additional offerings from a catalogue of software provided as packages/images or datasets exposed as API endpoints or storage volume snapshots. Each one of our clients will be able to monitor key health and performance parameters of their instances and spending by a monitoring and billing interface integrated into the cloud application.

The Tenderer must state the general yearly turnover for the last 3 audited financial years, and the minimum level for suitability is 2 x the contract value calculated as an average of the turnover in the last 3 financial years.

The Tenderer must state the Profit margin for the last 3 audited financial years, and the Solvency ratio for the last audited financial year.

Justification:

DTU has held an EU tender regarding development services for The Elixir Cloud solution but did not receive any tenders. Therefore DTU are publishing a new tender regarding development services for The Elixir Cloud solution. Due to the lack of tenders at the first tender, DTU are in time pressure in relation to solving the tasks, hence urgent procedure has been chosen.
