Description
:
The LMD7–THUNDER platform is expected to provide rapid, high-contrast 3D fluorescence imaging of thick and heterogeneous microbiological samples, followed by accurate isolation of selected cells or cell clusters for downstream chemical imaging such as nanoSIMS or Raman microspectroscopy. In this integrated mode, Thunder enhances the visualization of microbial cells in their native structural and chemical environment, improving the accuracy and confidence in identifying cells or regions of interest before laser-assisted isolation or mapping. This 3D imaging capability of the system is critical for investigating complex microbial systems ranging from single cells and mixed microbial consortia to host-associated and environmental microbiomes. The system is the only platform fully interoperable with established spatial chemical imaging workflows enabling methodological compatibility and reproducibility. The instrument should be capable of imaging fluorescently tagged cells and cell clusters, including those containing natural autofluorescence, precisely identifying these and separating them from and within the nearby 3D structures e.g. soil and sediment particles, minerals, plant and animal tissues, electrodes, biofilms etc. Considering the correlative workflows planned and the aim of visualizing microbial cells in their native structural and physical environment it is essential that the LMD instrument is an upright system, has advanced imaging capabilities that allow blur free, clear, high-contrast images even deep within thick samples. The instrument should enable fast multi-colour imaging of 2D and 3D microbial samples (life and dead enrichment cultures, biofilms, cell aggregates, environmental microbial samples: sediment, soil, plant and animal tissue) with improved signal to noise ratio.

Information about review deadlines
:
Following the notification, a standstill period of 10 calendar days will be held in accordance to paragraph 3 of Act No. 593 of 2 June 2016 on the Danish Act on the Complaints Board for public Procurement. This implies that the Contracting Authority cannot sign the Contract with the winning Tenderer before the standstill period has expired. In case of complaints about tenders or decisions, e.g. award of contracts covered by Section II or III in the Danish Public Procurement Act must be submitted to the Complaints Board for Public Procurement (Klagenævnet for udbud) within 45 calendar days from the day after the contractor published a notice in the Official Journal on the conclusion of a contract. At the latest concurrently with submission of an appeal to the Complaints Board for Public Procurement, the complainant must inform the Contracting Authority of the alleged infringement, and whether the appeal is to be referred to the board.
