Reference number: 2017-153-000008
II.1.2) Main CPV code
38000000
II.1.3) Type of contract

II.1.4) Short description:

Aarhus University will be investing in an apparatus to investigate the photodynamics of free hetero clusters and nanodroplets using energetic and ultrashort light pulses. The goal is to characterise, in real-time fundamental ultrafast processes such as electronic and vibrational relaxation, fragmentation, complex formation, energy and charge transfer, and nanoplasma formation. To this end, we combine the techniques of free-jet expansion with velocity-map imaging of electrons and ions. To reach the required time resolution of <1 ps, a mode-locked titanium sapphire laser is used, which is pumped by a diode-pumped solid-state laser.

II.1.5) Estimated total value
II.1.6) Information about lots
This contract is divided into lots: no
