— to support new functionality needed due to changes in the media landscape without compromising present quality and functional level,

— to improve workflows in general,

— to increase redundancy and minimise risk in relation to support and upgrades,

— reducing the number of support hours needed to maintain and upgrade the system,

— reducing the total cost including the cost for support contracts,

— reducing the equipment count and complexity,

— reducing the risk for hacking.
