Purchase of a Floubeam
Aarhus University wants to purchase a Floubeam.
The aim of the study is to investigate the impact on ICG-angiography in breast reconstruction including prophylactic lymphatic intervention.
Requirements:
a) Mobility – as the sites of investigation are localised all over Aarhus University Hospital and the Institute of Clinical Research, Aarhus University, the equipment must be mobile, easy to use and versatile;
b) Study specificity – in order to compare our results with other international collaborators – we need identical conditions to carry out our research and thus identical equipment “Floubeam”;
c) The equipment must be operational under sterile conditions in the OR, wherefore a hand-held device is mandatory;
d) Needs to be a stand alone-system;
e) Access to immediate on-site support and introduction (We need a supplier within a short distance from the study site (Aarhus University Hospital, AU)).
Market investigation:
We have investigated the market by searching the internet, communication with our international collaborators and visiting relevant symposia and congresses thorough out Europe. After the market investigation we are of that conviction that there is only one supplier for this product, especially when we need immediate on-site support.
The Floubeam is fulfilling the requirements listed in 2).
