The purpose of of a monitoring and adoption driving solution is both to be able to measure usage, but also to ensure the ability to drive the technology adoption proactively. The scope of technology adoption spans from on/off boarding of students and faculty members over supporting a high response rate on course evaluation to promoting selected tools to subsets of faculty members.

We need a solution, which will enable us to measure and report usage of tools – or categories of tool – on several levels. Usage should be reported on a single course as well as aggregated to report on specific programmes or study boards.

Based on tool usage on courses these can automatically be grouped by transformation level. II.2.4) Description of the procurement:

The ability to measure and monitor tool usage on a detailed level is a corner stone in driving technology adoption in the learning management sphere is. The usage data serves as the foundation for accurately documenting the level of transformation of courses from a traditional classroom setting to a more blended learning experience. In the coming years, information about on the number of courses in each distinct stage of transformation also has to be reported to a state body and it is essential that this can be measured consistently. Depending on the outcome of an upcoming tender for a learning management system, it is of great importance that data can be collected on multiple learning management systems, ensuring both consistent and ac-curate information for us to act on.

The purpose of the procurement of a monitoring and adoption driving solution is both to be able to measure usage, but also to ensure the ability to drive the technology adoption proactively. Furthermore, we need a solution, which can support targeted communication to users thus enabling the administration a way to smoothly on/off board users as well as giving the pedagogical centers tools for stimulating and advocating tool usage. Eesysoft’s solution works on multiple industry leading learning management systems and can be used on custom developed learning tools used in conjunction with the learning management system, providing a more detailed and complete picture of usage of the learning management system in general – even across vendors.

Besides searching the market, and talking to companies in the market at several conferences in Europe and USA, we have also discussed various options with pedagogical centers on other institutions both within higher and further Ed.

In conclusion and to the best our knowledge, eesysoft is indeed the only provider in the learning management systems market place that offer a turnkey solution fulfilling the needs stated. To ensure that the solution does cover the needs at AU, pilot tests have been conducted on two of the university’s four faculties.
