Purchase of single loop array RF receiver coils for 13C based magnetic resonance hyperpolarisation scanning of skin tumours in humans
Aarhus University puts out to tender the purchase of single loop array RF receiver coils for 13C based magnetic resonance hyperpolarisation scanning of skin tumours in humans.
Aarhus
The tender is related to Single loop array RF receiver coils for 13C based magnetic resonance hyperpolarisation scanning of skin tumours in humans.
Magnetic resonance hyperpolarisation is a new scanning technology for in vivo metabolic measurements in humans and in animals. Basically, this spectroscopic or spectroscopic imaging technique rely on intra-vascular injection of hyperpolarised 13C enriched substrates that traces specific metabolic pathways in the organs of living cells. Due to the extreme sensitivity of MR-hyperpolarisation, this technology gives an until now unseen insight into metabolic fluxes and exchange rates in both anabolic and catabolic reactions in the body.
Tumor metabolism changes as effect of anti-tumor therapy. Thus, magnetic resonance hyperpolarisation can be used for tracing the effectiveness of therapy in the individual patient.
In general, the single loop array RF receiver coil must be used for measurements in healthy skin areas and in a skin tumor without interference between the individual coil elements and negligible signal addition from the underling fat or muscle tissue.
Extra coil elements must be offered as an option. These elements should have diameters of 0,5 cm and 2,0 cm, cf. Appendix 1 – Specification of requirements.
The price for the extra coil elements weighs 30 % of the total evaluation price and must be stated in Appendix 2 – price schedule.
The purchase is published in accordance with the Public Procurement Act (Udbudsloven) § 191, because this contract has a total estimated value below the EU thresholds, but are considered to have cross-border interest.

If the notification has been made by electronic means (e-mail), the Contracting Authority shall at the earliest enter into a contract after the expiry of a standstill period of 10 calendar days.
If the notification has been sent by email, the Contracting Authority shall at the earliest enter into the contract after 15 calendar days.
If the appeal is received by the Complaints Board for Public Procurement before the expiry of the standstill period, the appeal will automatically have temporary suspensive effect until the Complaints Board for Public Procurement has taken a decision on whether the appeal should have suspensive effect or not.
At the latest concurrently with submission of an appeal to the Complaints Board for Public Procurement, the complainant must inform the Contracting Authority of the alleged infringement, and whether the appeal is to be referred to the Board.
