Section II: Object
Thermographical Camera for Research
‘Aalborg University Department of Energy Technology needs to purchase a high speed cooled Infrared thermal camera within the XPower project. The camera is to be used for thermal characterization of power electronic components and converters with a high resolution of 320 x 256 pixels and a minimum full frame rate speed of 400 Hz and 10 000 Hz in sub frame. The high resolution is required to investigate the failures on semiconductor chips and packaging of power electronic components. Also the speed at the sub frame rate should be at least 10 000 Hz to capture at least 2 frames at the 5 KHz switching frequency. This camera should come with a microscopic lens that can provide a 3-5 microns spectral band. Also, a 2 axis positioning system should be delivered with the camera. Aalborg University have only found one company that produces equipment that fulfills those needs.
AAU finds that the purchase is covered by the exemption provisions in Article 32 of the Tender Directive, why AAU intends to carry out the purchase as a direct award.
Section IV: Procedure
- The works, supplies or services can be provided only by a particular economic operator for the following reason:
