The Danish Defence Acquisition and Logistics Organization (DALO) is preparing a tender regarding purchase of ballistic underwear (underpants). However, as part of the preparation the DALO would like to gather information regarding the current market of ballistic underwear in connection with structuring of the future tender. The purpose of this request for information is to understand how the best possible tender and contract can be arranged both for the DALO and for the suppliers. The ballistic underwear will be used by deployed Danish soldiers as a part of the combat uniforms system to reduce the severity of injuries from blasts. The ballistic underwear must help prevent blast and fragment injuries to the groin and protect the soldier’s genitals from damage when sand shoots up at them after an explosion.
