Hence to be able to compare carbon flux measurements across climates and soils the system need to fulfil the criteria by international monitoring networks such as Ameriflux https://ameriflux.lbl.gov/ and ICOS https://www.icos-ri.eu/. The system need to measure fluxes down to half hourly values of CO2 and H2O and the complete energy balance and include transformation and descriptive software and post-processing software which guarantee corrections analog measurements to physical digital data to the highest standard.
