Piezo-driven Manipulator
In order to perform advanced spatially and angular resolved photo-emission measurements of solid state materials at the SGM4 beamline of the Astrid 2 synchrotron light source, Aarhus University wish to buy a piezo-driven manipulator.
In order to perform advanced spatially and angular resolved photo-emission measurements of solid state materials at the SGM4 beamline of the Astrid 2 synchrotron light source, Aarhus University wants to buy a piezo-driven manipulator, which is compatible with ultra-high vacuum conditions, non-magnetic, cryo-compatible and contains 6 degrees of freedom for sample alignment and 5 degrees of freedom for fine alignment of X-ray optics. We require linear translation for sample alignment covering (x, y, z)-ranges of 58.5 mm x 66.5 mm x 50 mm and yaw, pitch and roll of 349 degrees, +/-30 degrees and +/-60 degrees. For the X-ray optics we require linear translation covering (x, y, z)-ranges of 35 mm x 35 mm x 31 mm, as well as pitch and yaw of +/- 10 degrees. The linear translation needs to have integrated sensors with approx. 1 nm resolution and distance-coded reference marks.

We have been working with the company, SmarAct, for over a year to design and develop this piezo-driven manipulator so it meets all of the required specifications for our instrument and experiments. Therefore we believe SmarAct is the only company able to provide us with this unique product.
