MSM RC: non-illuminated Design Line

SCHURTER Electronic Components introduce MSM RC

With the MSM RC (Ring Colored), SCHURTER is expanding its Metal Line family of non-illuminated switches to include a variant with a plastic color ring. These switches increase operating safety and allow industrial designers to spice up the user interface with fresh colors.

The MSM RC variant (Ring Colored) is part of the SCHURTER Metal Line and as such stands out due to the use of particularly high-quality materials. The switch housing as well as the actuator are made of high-quality stainless steel. The combination with PMMA color rings provides the switch with a modern appearance.

Colored Ring

Instead of an illuminated colored ring, the MSM RC has a plastic ring. If several switches are to be mounted on one front, for example, a red colored ring could be used for the "Stop" function, and a green one for "Go". This significantly increases operating safety. The color ring itself is made of PMMA and thus extremely robust.

Variety of versions

As standard, the MSM RC switches are available in various colors and different sizes (16, 19, 22 and 30 mm). The switches are suitable for currents from 100 mA to 5 A. Like all Metal Line switches, the MSM RC is also approved for applications with requirements for ingress protection IP67 (front to contact area).

Areas of application

Mechanical switches are still very popular thanks to their unrivaled haptic feedback. The SCHURTER MSM RC switches therefore offer industrial designers an excellent opportunity to spice up the functional range of modern user interfaces with fresh colors.
