Market Survey with Request for Information — Portable Equipment for Fuel Testing
Market survey with request for information — portable equipment for fuel testing.
The Danish Ministry of Defense Acquisition and Logistic Organisation (DALO) plans to launch an EU-tender for a 4-year framework agreement covering the purchase of portable fuel test equipment. As part of the preparation DALO would like to request information regarding the market solutions from potential contractors to be used for the preparation of the upcoming tender.
The equipment is to be used by the Armed Forces for the assessment and monitoring of fuel quality downstream of production, i.e. so-called ‘C’ and/or ‘C+’ testing in NATO STANAG 3149 terminology. The fuel test equipment is to be assembled as kits in pelicases (or equivalent) with custom fitted foam inserts for convenience, safety and ruggedness in storage, transport and use.
The equipment is intended for fuel analysis on-site at domestic stationary facilities as well as in mission areas. Thus, user-friendliness, ruggedness, minimal maintenance and training requirements, as well as light weight are all desirable qualities for the equipment kits.
DALO envisions two configurations of the equipment kits – one for aviation fuel and one for non-aviation fuel. The aviation fuel kits would contain more items than the non-aviation kits.
DALO estimate that the purchase volume for the duration of the contract will be 30-60 kits in total. The volume is dependent on the price of the equipment, since a larger extent of redundancy may be opted for if the price is right.
DALO shall encourage you to participate in this Request for Information (RFI) by stating the requested information and upload your response to the ETHICS web portal by the 15 March 2021.
