Interpreter equipment, system and services for training labs
Faculty of Arts at Aarhus University is establishing professional interpreting facilities with digital interpreting systems for our new professional Master’s programme “Master of Conference Interpretation” with up to 20 students.
The facilities will consist of two training labs:
— the system and the training situation should replicate the experience our students will have when working in the professional interpreting industry in EU, NATO, UNESCO etc.
— the Contracting Authority requires a solution that consists of a professional conference and interpreting system, which is adapted for educational use and includes a fully integrated interpreter training system,
— the Contracting Authority includes in the contract an option to buy extra equipment within the contract period. This is further described in clause 2.15,
— it is optional for the Contracting Authority to use this option during the contract period,
— the Service agreement in the Contract lasts for a 5-year period.
The Contract includes delivery of an interpreting system, equipment for the training lab and a service agreement. furthermore, an option to buy extra equipment is included in the Contract.
Please note that the following items are not subject to this tender:
The university will supply:
— 20 student PC’s and screens,
— 2 teacher-PCs and screens,
— 2 Cisco video conference systems,
— loudspeakers, screens, and projectors in the two labs,
— Power and LAN-network up to an agreed point in the room,
— interpreter booths,
— Furniture (chairs and tables).
The option to buy extra equipment regards 1 (one) Teacher control centre, 5 (five) delegate units and 5 (five) interpreter units in compliance with the requirements stated in Appendix 1 Specification of Requirements. It is optional for the Contracting Authority to use this option in the contract period.
