II.2.4) Beskrivelse af udbuddet:

— XYZ tip scanner to allow for simultaneous AFM and optical imaging. Reason: A tip-scanner design (i.e. non-moving sample) is required for simultaneous AFM and optical imaging which is essential for the planned experiments integrating the two techniques,

— The AFM allows the use of the inverted optical microscopes condenser optics to enable techniques such as phase imaging and differential interference contrast (relevant patents US 7022985, US 7473894, EP 1430485, JP 4044042) simultaneous to fast AFM with large range scanner of 100x100 in x and y of 70 Hz line rate at 2 um scan range. Reason: The combination of AFM and phase contrast/DIC is required for the planned work on cells under conditions where cells cannot be fluorescently labeled. Fast AFM scanning (min 70Hz) is generally requested for following dynamic processes in cells and model systems,

— The AFM allows the use of the inverted optical microscopes high NA fluorescence optics simultaneous to fast AFM with large range scanner of 100x100 in x and y of 70 Hz line rate at 2 um scan range. Reason: The use of high NA optics in required to achieve the maximum quality of fluorescence images in combination with AFM,

— AFM and optical microscopy imaging space correlation, DirectOverlay (Trade Mark Sign) patented in US 368017, JP 5172696, CN 101395676. Reason: A perfect automated alignment of AFM and optical images is essential for the project when identifying correlations between AFM and optical imaging results,

— data pixel information bandwidth in fast force mapping of 2 kHz with linear z motion providing raw force curve data allowing full force curve analysis, QI (Trade Mark Sign). Reason: Availability of the full force curve data is required for exploring membrane-protein interactions without limitations of a predefined analysis,

— Stepper motor z range can be integrated into force mapping allowing large range z mapping, e.g., for tissue engineering patented in US 8291511. Reason: Extension of the z-range by the stepper motors is required for force mapping (membrane-protein interactions) on cellular surface having large height variations,

— Atomic lattice resolution on optical microscope with fast AFM of more than 50 Hz line rate. Reason: Atomic resolution at high scan speeds (>50Hz) is required for single molecule resolution of protein overlayers on membranes under dynamic conditions,

— Tip holders made from glass and stainless steel to allow for cleaning by means of sonication or autoclaving must be available. Reason: Efficient cleaning and sterilization of the cantilever holder is necessary when working with potentially harmful substances or pathogenic systems in the project.

Del IV: Procedure

IV.1) Beskrivelse
IV.1.1) Proceduretype
Tildeling af kontrakt uden forudgående offentliggørelse af en udbudsbekendtgørelse i Den Europæiske Unions Tidende i tilfældene anført nedenfor
  • Udbuddet er ikke omfattet af direktivet
Forklaring:

Public Procurement Act Section 80, litra 3 and 4 - Only one supplier:

The AFM system can only be supplied by one particular economic operator due to technical reasons. There is an objective and proportionate reason for the establishment of specifications which result in there being only one supplier.

The possibility that there are other potential suppliers who could deliver the same has been objectively excluded by market consultations.
